Newport Picked as a Top Spot for Shutterbugs

It seems that Newport ends up on a list of best places for this or that every week. And it’s no surprise, with world-class tourism amenities, legendary architectural icons, restaurants galore and all the rewards of being situated on an island with a stunning vantage point in Narragansett Bay.

The latest list Newport has landed is over at Printaholic.com, which chose to list 10 of the ”Most Inspiring Cities” for photographers.

The publication notes Newport’s breathtaking ocean views but smartly mentions that there’s more to the City-by-the-Sea than just the sea itself. There’s the Newport Mansions, the historic colonial architecture of downtown, the iconic Claiborne Pell Bridge, the Cliff Walk, and even some urban grit in the mix.

Other cities that made the cut include Honolulu, Hawaii; New Orleans, Louisiana; Portland, Oregon; Anchorage, Alaska; Ann Arbor Michigan and others.
