Newport Police Dept. Hopes To Fill Cruiser With Presents
All new toy and clothing donations will be accepted during the Dec. 7 toy drive.

NEWPORT, RI – The Newport Police Department and Rhode Island State Police are joining forces to collect toys for children in need this holiday season.
On Dec. 7 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., both law enforcement agencies will kick off a toy drive at 1 Bowens Wharf in Newport.
All new toy and clothing donations will be accepted. The public is encouraged to come out to the toy drive and donate what they can.

Light refreshments will also be served. Both law enforcement agencies hope to fill a police cruiser to the brim with gifts.
The police departments are joining forces with the company, Alex and Ani, for this upcoming toy drive. Since its founding, the company has donated more than $38 million to charities across the globe.
