Police charged a Middletown man with Domestic vandalism and cyberstalking. In a separate matter, a Middletown woman was given a summons.

NEWPORT, RI — Elizabeth M. Durgin, 23, of Middletown, was given a summons on Monday at 1:15 p.m. Police allege she was driving on America's Cup Avenue and failed to stop for pedestrians in a crosswalk at Thames Street. She will be due in court later on that charge. She was also allegedly driving with an expired license. Police cited her for that violation. She was driving her father's car, and his registration had lapsed. The officer advised her to alert her father to renew his registration.
Also on Monday at 9:25 a.m., police charged Carlos O. Febles, 24, of Middletown, with Domestic Vandalism (injury to property) and Domestic Cyberstalking. According to the arrest report, he allegedly went to Donovan Manor on Feb. 13 and opened his ex-girlfriend's locked car with a combination. Then he allegedly sprayed shaving cream on her car radio, the climate controls, and center console and used mascara and lipstick to make marks on the seats.
