Newport Restaurant Week Returns This November

One of autumn’s most savory events, Newport Restaurant Week returns November 1-10, 2013 with 54 participating restaurants throughout Newport and Bristol Counties. A highly anticipated bi-annual tradition, restaurants craft exceptional dishes at affordable prix fixe prices. As in years past, the prices remain at $16 for a three-course lunch and $30 for a three-course dinner.

Newport Restaurant Week inspires local food fanatics and visitors alike to indulge in an experience as delectable as it is memorable. This fall’s 10-day affair will showcase menus touting seasonal ingredients that embody the essence of dining in this extraordinary coastal community. Adding to the excitement, we are proud to welcome five first-time participants: Midtown Oyster Bar, Stoneacre Pantry, The Tavern on Broadway, and Jo’s American Bistro, all of which are located in Newport, in addition to Bluewater Bar and Grill, located in Barrington.

“We’re really excited here at Jo's American Bistro for our first Newport Restaurant Week,” said restaurateur Joann Carlson. “We look forward to seeing many new guests during the event!" Christopher Bender, co-owner of Stoneacre Pantry, agrees. “We're already booking reservations and can't wait to showcase the best that autumn has to offer,” he said.

Visiting gourmands can come for dinner and stay for breakfast by taking advantage of reasonably priced Newport Restaurant Week lodging packages. Updates on related events, participating restaurants and menus can be found at http://www.DiscoverNewportRestaurantWeek.org and via our social networks, including Newport Restaurant Week’s Facebook page and on Discover Newport’s Twitter feed (handle: @DSCVRNewport, use #nptrw). Also, diners from Providence and around the state can rely on Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) bus routes with $4 per round trip tickets or $6 for an all-day pass to save money and think green.
Newport Restaurant Week is brought you by Discover Newport, American Express, Uppercut Sauvignon Blanc, Terrazas Malbec, Samuel Adams and OpenTable.com.
