Newport, Warwick Beaches Reopened
Both Easton's Beach and Goddard Park were reopened to swimming over the weekend.

NEWPORT, RI — Two Rhode Island beaches closed last week due to high bacteria levels are back open. Both Easton's Beach in Newport and Goddard Park in Warwick were declared safe on Saturday.
The two beaches were closed following a day of heavy rain, which is frequently blamed for raising bacteria levels with stormwater runoff. All beaches in the state are currently open.
For the latest beach closure data, call the Rhode Island Department of Health's prerecorded beach line at 401-222-2751 or visit the department's website.
