Noelle Shiland Receives Gloria Slavens Award

Local REALTOR honored for professionalism and community service

Noelle Shiland, Sales Associate with William Raveis Real Estate in Newport, RI is the 2016 recipient of the Gloria Slavens Award. The award is given annually by the Newport County Board of REALTORS® (NCBR) in recognition of outstanding professionalism, service to the Newport County Board and service to the local community.

A REALTOR® member since 2008, Noelle currently serves as a Director for the Newport County Board of REALTORS® and manages the Board’s weekly Broker Tour. She has previously co-chaired the monthly membership meetings, has been a member of the Women’s Council of REALTORS®, and attends the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) conferences. She is an active participant in NAR’s lobbying efforts on issues affecting home ownership. Noelle is also an NAR certified e-PRO®.

Within her community, Noelle is a fundraiser for the Potter Shelter for Animals, and is a nominee to the Shelter’s Board of Directors. She is a member of the Board for the Easton’s Point Neighborhood Association and has been a major supporter for Rebuilding Together Greater Newport for the last three years.
