Though many Democrats in contested districts who are facing tough battles against Republicans don’t want be seen with Obama, his fundraising abilities are desired in general. POLITICO reported that the flurry of fundraising activity in recent months has helped the DCCC stockpile more cash than the National Republican Congressional Committee, with $51 million to their $42.5 million.

While Presidential visits can be exciting for people attending the event, Obama’s presence also tends to bring major traffic issues. Expect parts of the city to be off-limits or difficult to access while the President is here.

The fundraiser is to be held at a private residence and tickets are reportedly $10,000 and up.
