Overnight Shelter: Seaman's Church Institute Adds Hours

NEWPORT, RI — The Seaman's Church Institute will stay open until Tuesday, Jan. 2 to care for people without heat or shelter, the organization said. The shelter is located at 18 Market Square and will open its doors at 4 p.m. for the overnight warming center. Here is the press release.

Guests will be provided a cot, warm blanket, pillow, a hot meal, snacks, games and movies. Guests will also have access to free showers, laundry, toiletries, warm winter coats, hats, scarves and other clothing. Games and movies will be on hand.
