The outages caused issues for both in-school and at-home learning. In Coventry, all in-person learning was canceled Wednesday at Alan Shawn Feinstein Middle School, Washington Oak Elementary and Western Coventry Elementary due to power outages. Classes were held at all other schools in the district.
"We also understand that having no power limits the ability to participate in Distance Learning," the district said in a statement. "We have many teachers and students without power and devices."
