Pawtucket Man Faces Weapons Charge

Police allege Alexander Arcila, 26, of Pawtucket, was carrying a concealed weapon, a folding knife larger than three inches.

NEWPORT, RI – When a police officer recognized a Pawtucket man inside the Festival Field apartment complex on Nov. 6 around 10 p.m., he attempted to detain him.

Alexander Arcila, 26, saw the officer first and tried to duck back inside an apartment. The officer said Arcila eluded his grip and made it back inside.

However, a short time later, he accompanied police without incident. The officer searched Arcila and alleges he found a folding knife, just over three inches long, which is a weapons violation.
