Photo Gallery: War College Holds Humanitarian Workshop
The workshop was designed to help the military coordinate with the United Nations and other humanitarian organizations.
NEWPORT, RI — Rear Adm. Jeffrey A. Harley, president, U.S. Naval War College, on Oct. 26 gave the welcoming remarks during the Civilian-Military Humanitarian Response Workshop. The event was held at the War College and was designed to help the Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and international maritime forces collaborate with humanitarian organizations. The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, humanitarian organizations, and academia plan to work with armed forces to collaboratively develop robust research, professional education, training, and development agendas.
