Police Charge Roommates Who Threw Loud Party with Noise Violation & Underage Drinking
Three roommates were charged and a fourth one will be cited, police said.

NEWPORT, RI—Shortly before 11 p.m. on Thursday, police received an anonymous complaint about a loud party at a house on Lucas Avenue.
A decibel level reading from around the corner on Potter Street indicated the noise from music and talking exceeded the city's limit.
Police responded and estimated more than 60 people between 20 and 22 were at the party. They also saw signs of alcohol and underage drinking.

The roommates who threw the party are facing charges.
Olivia K. Sherman and Brooke K. Socca, both 20, and both of Newport, were charged with underage drinking and noise disturbance. Brianna Connolly, 21, was cited for the noise disturbance.
