Police & Harbor Patrol Reel In Suspect
A domestic violence suspect was taken into custody Tuesday. The victim went to the hospital.

NEWPORT, RI—After a caller reported a woman had fallen on the King's Park dinghy dock, police responded. They found a woman complaining her boyfriend beat her. A little later, police and the harbor patrol reeled in the domestic violence suspect.
James Anton Davis, 33, was on his boat tied to a mooring. Police called over to him. He refused to come ashore because the waves, which the storm churned up, were too big. Police called the harbor patrol for assistance and went out to Davis's boat. Davis was picked up by the harbor boat where he was charged with Domestic Simple Assault and Battery.
