When the nurse told him he’d have to wait, he started yelling. When told to sit in the gurney and wait, eh reportedly got more upset and eventually charged at the wall, punching it before he was restrained by staff.

Whitmire was taken into custody and held for arraignment Wednesday morning.

Also charged for disorderly conduct early Wednesday morning was Oscar J. Stedford, 39, of no permanent address.

Police said Stedford allegedly threatened to get a gun and shoot a man in front of the apartments at 21 Rolling Green.

Police said they responded to the area and ordered Stedford to the ground at gunpoint.

Stedford was intoxicated and taken from the scene by police without incident.

A witness told police that he heard an argument and when he told the two men arguing to quiet down, Stedford made the threat.

Stedford was held overnight for arraignment Wednesday morning.

Police also charged Danielle Leigh Unger, 27, of 9 Fillmore St., Newport, with domestic simple assault, domestic vandalism, simple assault and narcotics possession on Tuesday night.

Police said Unger attacked two people in a Marlborough Street apartment at around 7:45 p.m.

Once in police custody, officers reportedly found a pill in a makeup bag. That pill was identified as Buprenorphine Hydrochloride, which requires a prescription that Unger did not have.

Unger was held for arraignment Wednesday morning.
