At Police Station to Ask a Question, North Providence Man Is Arrested
Justin M. Lacasse, 28, of North Providence, went into the Newport police station to ask a question, but he was wanted on a court warrant.
NEWPORT, RI—Justin M. Lacasse, 28, of North Providence, stopped by the Newport police station on Wednesday at 4:20. He wanted to know if a restraining order his girlfriend had requested was still in effect or if it had expired. While police were assessing that situation, it turned out Lacasse was wanted on a bench warrant from Newport District Court. He was arrested at 4:30, police said.
