Newport police charged a 16-year-old Newport boy with disorderly conduct and violating a family court order after he allegedly threatened to kill a 53-year-old woman.

Police said the victim told police that she went to where another juvenile is living to serve as an intermediary between that boy and a person with whom he is not supposed to be in contact with per a court order.

The victim said that while talking to that juvenile, another juvenile, the suspect, walked up to her and told her to “get out” and “you’re lucky I don’t know where you live.

“I will kill you,” he said.

The victim left, got into her car, locked the door and called police.

The juvenile, when questioned, admitted to yelling at the woman but denied threatening her.

The matter will be adjudicated in Family Court.
