Pols Boost Newport's Small Biz Saturday
It's only Tuesday, but the governor and other elected officials are turning out in Newport to show support for Small Business Saturday.
NEWPORT, RI — The Small Business Administration is helping Broadway merchants and other Newport proprietors with a show of support from elected officials.
On Tuesday, Nov. 22 at 10 a.m., the governor, two U.S. Senators and one U.S. Cong. will meet with other leaders at Washington Square. They'll hold a press conference about "encouraging the general public to 'Shop Small' and 'Dine Small' in support of the local small business community."
Then, they'll visit some Broadway small businesses.
