Preservation Society to Host Women in Business After Hours
The Newport County Chamber of Commerce will the April 16 event on the Terrace at Rosecliff.

A ”Women in Business After Hours” next week promises a chance for women in all types of industries and professions to mingle, meet and learn.
The Newport County Chamber of Commerce will the April 16 event on the Terrace at Rosecliff. The event is sponsored by the Preservation Society of Newport County.
“Sharing our experiences with fellow working women provides a more personal avenue to help women excel and know that they are not alone.” Chamber Executive Director Jody Sullivan said. “Personal experiences that other women have shared with me have helped greatly in my position as head of the Chamber.”

The Women in Business Initiative was created to enrich and celebrate the talents and skills of women in business—those who manage people, those who are in a high-level individual contributor role or those who own their own business—through networking events focused on professional development and relationship building.
The partnership between the Chamber and The Preservation Society of Newport County was established to engage and empower women in business and to support women-owned businesses in Newport County and Rhode Island.

More than 100 women are expected to attend.
Preservation Society of Newport County Executive Director Trudy Coxe will also be in attendance to welcome and address the group. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be provided by Blackstone Catering. The event price is $15 for members and $20 for non-members, RSVP’s can be made at NewportChamber.com and reservations will be held at the door.
