Randal S. Poirier, Financial Planner, Makes Donation to Potter League

Newport, RI (December, 2015) – Randal Poirier, ChFC, Financial Planner and Partner with Independence FinancialPartners recently made a planned gift of life insurance to the Potter League for Animals. The donation will support the Potter League’smission of making a significant difference in the lives of animals.

“I abide by Winston Churchill’s philosophy, ‘we make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give,’ Poirier says. “My goal in making this gift is to help the Potter League in its commitment to animals, so that others might benefit from their amazing shelter and adoption services, much like I did.” Poirier adopted his black Labrador Retriever, Hamlet, from the Potter League in 2010.

Christie Smith, Potter League Executive Director, praised Randal for recognizing that life insurance can be a wonderful way to help the Potter League in the future. “Donors and visitors always tell me they want to take all of the animals home with them. While that is not possible, Randal has found a unique and generous way to help all of the animals at the Potter League. We are so grateful. Randal’s gift means he will be a part of many animals’ lives for a very long time. I can’t think of a better way to have an impact and personally feel good about being a donor.”
