Rapid Coronavirus Test Site Opening In Newport's North End
The site is open to all ages, with no appointment required.

NEWPORT, RI — Another coronavirus test site in coming to Acquidneck Island, this time in Newport's North End. The rapid test site, located at the Park Holm Senior Center, will open Thursday.
The site, operated by the Rhode Island National Guard, will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will remain operational until further notice, city officials said in a statement. Parking is available on-site at the Eisenhower Street facility, as well as on the street along Hillside Avenue.
Tests will be provided free of charge for all ages, and no appointments are required. Members of the National Guard will help residents self-administer a Binax Now Rapid Test, with results available in 15 minutes. Parents should accompany small children.

The other rapid test site in downtown Newport at 21 Brown and Howard Wharf continues to operate Tuesday through Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
