Recalled Power Bank Blamed For Sparking House Fire
The power banks have been recalled due to issues of overheating, which caused more than $150,000 in damage in a house fire.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced the recall of a line of universal charging banks due to the danger of fire due to overheating. There have been three reports of issues related to the power banks, with one sparking a house fire that caused over $150,000 in damage.
The power banks are Luv Betsey by Betsey Johnson brand and come in a variety of styles including emojis, animals, food and more. They were sold at stores across the U.S., including Kohl's, Burlington, Ross and others between November 2016 and January 2019 for about $25.
Anyone with the power banks is urged to immediately stop using them and contact the company, Daniel M. Friedman & Associates, for a full refund. Customers can call 855-706-6500 from 9 a.m. through 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, email info@betseyjohnson.com or go on the company's website and click "voluntary recall" for more information.
