RI Weather Forecast: Severe Thunderstorm Risk Expands
Most of Rhode Island is under "enhanced risk" of major storms. See the timeline here.

After a winter full of rapid-fire brutal storms, Tuesday is here to remind us just how dangerous and volatile the spring weather can be. An "enhanced risk" of severe thunderstorms now spans the majority of Rhode Island, some of which is under the threat of hail. A low possibility of a tornado exists in parts of Massachusetts, but Rhode Island should steer clear.
You could see some showers over the next few hours leading up to noon, then it will calm down for a bit. The heavy storms will come in during the evening - around 6-9 p.m. - and that's when you want to be home if possible.

The areas under the greatest risk for the most intense storms are in northern Rhode Island, but the whole state is guaranteed to see precipitation. The rain may not be as intense if you're in some areas of Southeast Massachusetts.
