RI Weather: Heat Advisory Issued Ahead Of Scorching Week
The hottest temperatures are expected Tuesday and Wednesday.
Fans of the lower heat and humidity in Rhode Island over the past few days will be disappointed in the coming week. The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory for Monday and Tuesday as "feel-like" temperatures climb towards the triple-digits.
According to the NWS, the hottest days are expected Tuesday and Wednesday, with highs in the mid 80s to low 90s and heat indices in the mid-to-upper 90s. The heat advisory is in place until 8 p.m. Tuesday.
There's a slight chance of thunderstorms each afternoon until Wednesday, paving the way for spotty showers Wednesday night, and rain throughout the day Thursday. Expect slightly cooler temperatures Thursday and Friday, ahead of a warm, partly sunny weekend.
