RI Weather: More Wintry Mix Arrives Wednesday Night

Expect more snow and sleet during the overnight hours, possibly impacting the morning commute.

RHODE ISLAND — Another round of slushy, wintry weather is on the way for Wednesday night, possibly causing issues for the Thursday morning commute. Expect snow and sleet during the late night hours, changing over completely to rain overnight.

Northwest Massachusetts will see the largest impacts from the storm, with more snow and ice accumulation in the forecast there. Here in Rhode Island, overall impacts are expected to be minimal, with snow and sleet only expected between 11 p.m. and 3 a.m.

Expect rain throughout the day on Thursday, with highs reaching the mid-40s.

At this point, the rest of the week is likely to be clear sailing weather-wise. Expect frigid temperatures on Friday night as lows drop to 10 degrees and seasonably chilly temperatures throughout the weekend.
