RI Weather: Rain And Thunderstorms Through Thursday

Rain and thunderstorms are in the Providence-area forecast through Thursday.

Although it's nice that temperatures have finally cooled down, don't expect to enjoy any cool, fall-like weather yet. Rain and thunderstorms are in the Providence-area forecast through Thursday.

The weekend though is looking dry so far with partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the high 70s.

Monday:

The National Weather Service projects at least a quarter inch if not a half an inch of rain for the Providence-area. Expect high temperatures to stay around 65. There may be some thunderstorms after 9 p.m.

Tuesday:

Look out for thunderstorms with heavy rain before 5 p.m. Otherwise, expect a cloudy day with high temperatures around 79. There's also a possibility for more thunderstorms between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m.

Wednesday:

There's a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms mostly after 7 a.m. High temperatures are expected to reach close to 80.

Thursday:

Thursday has a chance of some showers before 10 a.m. Otherwise, there's a 30 percent chance of precipitation. High temperatures will be around 80.

Friday:

Expect some patchy fog before 9 a.m. but otherwise, the sun will shine through the clouds and high temperatures should be 78.

Saturday:

Expect mostly sunny skies and high temperatures at 78.
