RI Weather: A Rainy Father's Day Is In The Forecast

For anyone planning to hit the tee for some golf this Father's Day, you may want to change your plans of make sure you have the rain gear ready. Rhode Island might get some rain on Sunday that could damper plans.

There's a 40 percent chance of showers after 7 a.m., according to the National Weather Service. But if the rain does hold up, it should be pretty nice out with high temperatures near 69. Today might be the day to do something for Father's Day, since it's supposed to be sunny with a high of 77.

If celebrating the actual day is more your thing, here's three ideas to enjoy Father's Day without getting drenched.

Watch a Movie

Whether its ten-pin or candlepin style, bowling can be a great way to have fun and get a little exercise inside. Often, bowling alleys will do special Father's Day deals, so this is definitely something worth looking into.

Go To A Sports Museum

In New England, sports are obviously a big deal, so before or after the Red Sox game at 1:05 p.m., why not head to Newport and check out the International Tennis Hall of Fame? The Patriots Hall of Fame at Patriot Place in Foxborough, Massachsuetts is also a great option and isn't too far from the Rhode Island border.
