Severe storms are again possible Thursday afternoon. Damaging winds up to 60 mph, localized street flooding and hail up to one inch are all possible, according to the National Weather Service.

It's been an unsettled weather month in Southern New England, with frequent thunderstorm warnings and powerful cells of heavy rain and strong winds, as well as high temperatures and humidity. Last week, strong, fast-moving storms flooded streets in the East Bay and South County and left thousands of residents in Newport without power.

The highest chance for storms will come between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m., though isolated storms could develop earlier, the NWS said. All of Rhode Island is under a "slight" outlook for severe weather, meaning scattered storms are possible. Throughout the day, it will again be hot and humid, with highs reaching the high 80s to low 90s.
