RI Weather: Snow On The Way For Saturday

The upcoming weekend will look at lot different than last weekend's springlike temperatures.

The weekend ahead will look a lot different from a week ago. Instead of springlike temperatures, snow is likely during the day on Saturday, mixing with rain during the evening hours.

The rest of the week will be seasonably cold, with a chance of rain starting Wednesday night and lasting into Thursday morning. Friday will be especially frigid, with a daytime high of 26 degrees plunging as low as 11 degrees overnight.

On Saturday, flakes are expected to start flying after 4 p.m., turning into rain after 10 p.m. The National Weather Service has not yet released accumulation predictions for the storm. Patch will keep you updated throughout the week.

A chance of rain, mainly before 9 a.m. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 44. Breezy, with a southwest wind 11 to 16 mph becoming northwest 20 to 25 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 46 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
