RISP Violent Crimes Task Force Captures Newport No Contact Order Violator: Cops

The Newport man was jailed, police said.

NEWPORT, RI — The Rhode Island State Police Violent Crimes Task Force captured a Newport man charged with violating a no contact order, police said.

Preston Schuster, age 21, was arrested Tuesday, the state police said in a media release.

"Mr. Schuster was processed at State Police Headquarters, presented as a bail violator and arraigned by a Justice of the Peace," according to the release.

"Mr. Schuster was later transported to the Adult Correctional Institutions Men's Intake Center," the release said.
