Rug-maker Meg Little to Exhibit @ American Fine Craft Show
"Few produce rugs themselves," says rug-maker Meg Little, one of 90 artisans to exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum's Beaux-Arts Court Nov. 18-19
Newport-based rug-maker Meg Little will join master craftsmen in glass, ceramics, wood, metal and leather at the fifth American Fine Craft Show at the Brooklyn Museum Nov. 18-19, 2017.
Some 90 artisans, fine artists and sculptors will transform the museum’s Beaux-Arts Court to a magical wonderland of creativity featuring, in addition to the work of textile artists, that of furniture, ceramics, glass, jewelry and fashion designers.
Little says that today there are only a handful of people who produce rugs themselves. She’s been making hers full-time since 1990. The durable, one-of-a-kind rugs are wool, designed, hand drawn and made by using hundreds of blended colors.
