“Shamrocks & Seashells” Benefit for Irish Museum slated for September 23

Benefit for Irish Museum: Reservation deadline approaching

“Shamrocks & Seashells,” the 8th Annual Benefit for the Museum of Newport Irish History’s Interpretive Center, will be held Saturday, September 23, at 6:00 p.m. at Easton’s Beach Rotunda Ballroom, 175 Memorial Boulevard, Newport. Traditional Irish music will be played by “The Exiles,” featuring award-winning Irish step dancer, Kevin T. Doyle. Guests will also enjoy a bagpiper greeting, vintage carousel rides and an extensive silent auction. Tickets are $75 per person and are inclusive of hors d’oeuvres, a variety of food stations, a 2-hour open bar and desserts.

All reservations will be held at the door; No tickets will be mailed.
Reservations are requested by Saturday, September 16.

The Museum’s Interpretive Center at 648 Lower Thames Street, just south of Narragansett Avenue, is open for the season. The 2017 Season hours are 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m., Thursday through Sunday, through Sunday, October 29. Proceeds from “Shamrocks & Seashells” will fund Interpretive Center operating expenses and enhancements to Center displays.
