We asked Patch readers to share their favorite places to play in the snow.
NEWPORT, RI — It's been a snowy start to 2021 in Rhode Island, with several inches of accumulation falling seemingly every other day in the past weeks. While this makes for a headache for drivers and homeowners trying to keep their driveways clean, it's good news for snow lovers, especially those who love sledding.
Patch asked our readers to share their favorite sledding spots nearby. Here are some of their responses from around the East Bay.
- Newport city children's park, at the end of Lower Thames Street
- Fort Adams State Park (hills above the soccer fields), Newport
- St. George's School, Middletown
- Fourth hole at the Barrington Country Club
- Burr's Hill Park, Warren
- Large hill in Colt State Park, near Bristol Recreation Center on Hope Street
Is your go-to sledding hill missing from the list? Let us know in the comments!
