Spooky Times Come to Newport
The police department is hosting two children's train rides on Oct. 27. There'll be ghost stories and treats, but probably no tricks.

NEWPORT, RI — All aboard for the Spooky Train on Oct. 27. Newport's turning creepy in advance of Halloween.
According to the police, some actual spooky characters may be aboard the train when the officers host the 2016 Spooky Train Ride.
The ride is free to young children, but the parents must sign up in advance at the police station. It's a tough ticket, and it's first come first served.
