St. George's School Ranked one of 30 Best Christian Boarding Schools in America

St. George’s School in Newport is among the best Christian boarding schools in the country, according to a recent survey by www.thebestschools.org.

The school earned spot in a list of the 30 best schools in the country thanks to its rigorous curriculum, extracurricular offerings and the high-ranking colleges that recent graduates of the school have gone to study. (Note, the school was listed at No. 17, though the schools in the list are listed in alphabetical order.)

With 365 students in grades 9 to 12 and 26 percent of students getting $3.4 million in financial aid, the school boasts 53 of its 69 faculty members holding advanced degrees.

The school also has 15 sports to choose from, 22 AP courses and offers individualized course plans for all students.

The coeducational school was founded in 1896 by the Episcopal Church.
