Stargazing with Robert Horton and Scott MacNeill

Saturday, May 14th from 8 to 10 pm Stargazing in the Quarry Meadow

Friends of Ballard Park will hold a star gazing program in Ballard Park’s quarry meadow on Saturday, May 14th from 8 to 10 pm. Robert Horton, Manager of Astronomical Laboratories at Brown University, and telescope operator Scott MacNeill of Brown University's Ladd Observatory will guide event goers through the spring constellations. The astronomers will bring their telescopes for up closing viewings of the first quarter moon and Jupiter.

Event goers should dress warmly and bring a comfy chair or blanket and a flashlight. There is a suggested donation of $5 per person and $15 per group. Ballard Park is located on the corner of Hazard and Wickham Roads. Use 1 Ocean Heights Road if you need GPS directions, the entrance is across the street.
