State Police Arrest Newport Man Wanted in Portsmouth & Middletown
David Traynum, 38, of Newport, was wanted on several arrest warrants from Middletown and Portsmouth.

MIDDLETOWN, RI — The state police Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested David Traynum, 38, on May 4. Middletown police wanted him on six counts of Larceny under $1,500; Larceny over $1,500 (from a building); and injury or tampering with a vehicle. Portsmouth police also wanted him for Possession of a stolen car; Larceny over $1,500; and Obstructing an officer. He was also wanted on a Superior Court bench warrant (for Failure to Appear for Technical Violation Hearing on the charge of Concealed Sale of Property out of the Warwick Police Department).
State police took Mr. Traynum to the Middletown Police Department.
