State Police Take Newport Man to ACI
Alfredo Santiago-Velazquez, 48, of Newport, was arrested on a bench warrant
NEWPORT, RI — A Newport man was sent to the Adult Correctional Institutions after state police stopped his car on Girard Avenue.
Alfredo Santiago-Velazquez, 48, was arrested on Friday Jan. 27, at 2:17 p.m. He was taken into custody on a bench warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability To Pay.
The original charge was Violation of a No-Contact Order originating from the Newport Police Department, state police said.
