NEWPORT, RI -- Surfers hit Easton's Beach this morning in search of a few big waves, thanks to Hurricane Gaston, now a Category 3 storm, expected to make landfall on Florida's west coast and then travel east out to the Atlantic.  The city has posted Dangerous Surf signs at the beach to warn swimmers about rough water and the possibility of rip tides.
