Teen Shot In Face With BB Gun: Newport Police
A youngster was taken to Rhode Island Hospital for eye surgery on Tuesday after another juvenile shot him in the face with a BB gun.

NEWPORT, RI A youngster was shot in the face at close range with a BB gun on Tuesday. The suspect, who is another juvenile, said he just wanted to scare the victim. He pointed the gun, and it went off.
The victim was taken to Rhode Island Hospital for eye surgery, and his condition was not known Wednesday, police said. He was still in the hospital.
The suspect is being charged with two felonies and a misdemeanor. He was arrested on Cranston Avenue at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday. The incident was reported at 5:27 p.m.
