For Third Time Newport Man Charged with Driving Without a License
Daniel Arturo Lopez, 24, of Newport, showed police a Guatamala identification but could not produce a driver's license, police allege.

NEWPORT, RI—Police stopped a car outside Nikolas Pizza at 38 Memorial Blvd. on Dec. 30 at 2:34 a.m. The driver said the car belonged to a friend inside the restaurant, and he was just taking it for a spin.
The friend ran out of the restaurant and confirmed the car was not being stolen. However, police charged the driver, Daniel Arturo Lopez with a misdemeanor for driving without a license, third offense.
Lopez, 24, of Newport, showed a Guatamala identification, police allege, but he did not have a driver's license.
