Tuesday: Candlelight Tours of Private Homes & Hanukkah Celebration

- Historic private Newport homes will be open for Candlelight Tours as part of Christmas in Newport tonight from 4 to 7 p.m. Tonight’s open houses are at 264 Gibbs Avenue, 33 Farewell Street, and 34 Malbone Road. Admission is $3 per house and is payable at the front door of each home.
- will be holding a Community Hanukkah Candle Lighting at 7:30 p.m. in the Levi Gale House to celebrate the eighth night of Hanukkah. Latkes and desserts will be served following the ceremony.
- is having an after-Christmas sale starting today, with 20 percent off storewide and 50 percent off of Christmas items. The sale goes through Jan. 12 and store hours are Monday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
