U.S. Energy Secretary to Stop in Newport

NEWPORT, RI — U.S. Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz will give remarks and take questions at U.S. Naval War College (NWC) in Newport, Rhode Island on Thursday, Jan. 12, at 10 a.m.

He will speak to NWC students about nuclear security and strategy as well as the Department of Energy’s close partnership with the U.S. Navy.

Moniz will also highlight the importance of science-based stockpile stewardship and the challenges ahead for nonproliferation and nuclear weapons policy. The event will be streamed through Facebook Live at http://www.facebook.com/navalwarcollege.
