Warrants Served after Police Respond to Bar Fight
One of the men arrested was wanted in Virginia and turned over by Newport Police to the U.S. Marshals.

Two men with outstanding warrants were arrested Thursday night after police responded to a report of a brawl that erupted in a local establishment.
According to a police report, officers were dispatched to the Perry Mill Wharf Tavern at around 11 p.m. for a report of several people fighting inside the bar.
The owner told police that several people started fighting and one broke a pool stick and started hitting other people with it.

Everyone then fled out the front and rear doors before police arrived and with help from staff, police were able to detain William Morales, 25, of 450 Charles St., Providence; and Anthony Quinonez, 36, of 137 Third St., Newport.
Each man had outstanding warrants for prior incidents, police said.

Morales had two outstanding court warrants for failing to appear for restitution hearings and was held for arraignment Friday.
Quinonez, on the other hand, was wanted for failing to appear in court in Virginia for a probation hearing stemming from a heroin distribution charge.
Police said they found Quinonez with facial injuries and blood on his clothes. He said he had been “jumped” by several people but declined treatment or to press charges.
But police discovered the U.S. Marshals warrant and were able to confirm his identity with a photograph, according to a police report.
Quinonez allegedly gave police false information, claiming his eyes were blue when they were in fact brown and showing an ID that had his name misspelled.
After a trip to the hospital following complaints that his nose was hurting, Quinonez was turned over into the custody of the U.S. Marshals.
