Warren Man Charged In Crash That Kills Newport Man
Ryan Van Winkle, 31, of Warren's wreckless driving resulted in the death of his Newport passenger, according to Rhode Island State Police.

WARWICK, RI — A Warren man is facing charges after Rhode Island State Police said he drove recklessly, resulting in the death of his passenger, a Newport man.
State Police said the crash happened around 10 a.m. Saturday on Interstate 95, just north of the Route 4 on-ramp in Warwick. Ryan Van Winkle, 31, of Warren, was the driver in the pickup truck crash, according to State Police.
Van Winkle's passenger died in the crash, and State Police identified him as Matthew Yoder, 39, of Newport.

Van Winkle was charged with driving to endanger, resulting in death. He was arraigned at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence and will be re-arraigned Monday in 3rd District Court, State Police said.
