NEWPORT, RI—The Opera House took a video of the action on Monday. NEWPORT, RI—The Opera House took a video of the action on Monday. Four steel posts, each 35 feet long and weighing more than five tons, are now in place.

Join your family, friends, and neighbors at the open mic at the Narragansett Café in Jamestown on Wednesday, May 20, from 7 to 9:15 pm. Enjoy live music, storytelling, standup comedy, poetry, dramatic readings, and anything else creative in a welcoming and comfortable space. 
Each performer has the stage from five to seven minutes. Signup is at 6:30. Performers can preregister at&nbsp;WedsLiveGanny@gmail.com. 
The event is free and open to the public. The food is great and so are the drinks. Non-alcoholic beverages are available.
