Weekend Weather: Clear Skies, Cold Weather Continue
Rhode Islanders will see mild relief from the extreme cold this weekend, with clear skies in the forecast.

RHODE ISLAND -- The Polar Vortex has its grip on Rhode Island now, but relief is on the way. The National Weather Service says temperatures should reach the mid-30s by this weekend.
Until then, temperatures will remain well below freezing, with wind chills factors dipping below zero. Bundle up on Friday, when winds of 8 miles per hour will bring the feel-like temperature down to negative seven.
Despite the extremely cold temperatures, the skies will be clear throughout the weekend, with no precipitation in the forecast until late Monday night, when showers are expected to move in.
