Weekend Weather: Sunny Skies For Memorial Day

Memorial Day weekend marks the unofficial kickoff to summer and the weather is expected to be warm and sunny all weekend long. For the first time in what feels like forever, the only chance for rain will be late Saturday night into Sunday morning.

Clear, sunny skies are in the forecast on Saturday, Sunday and Monday with highs in the low-to-upper 70s during the day.

Friday will be breezy, with wind gusts reaching as high as 33 mph at times with a high of 74.

Mostly sunny, with a high near 74. Breezy, with a north wind 16 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 33 mph.

Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming clear, with a low around 49. Northeast wind 5 to 11 mph becoming northwest after midnight.

Saturday
Sunny, with a high near 74. Northwest wind 6 to 10 mph becoming south in the afternoon.

Showers likely before 2 a.m., then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 56. South wind 9 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7 a.m., then a chance of showers between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 80. West wind 8 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
