Weekend Weather: Thunderstorms Friday, Sunny Weekend Ahead

High temperatures and humidity have returned for the second half of the week after a few days of relief. Skies will remain clear for most of the day Thursday, leading into showers and possible thunderstorms Thursday night and into Friday.

By Friday night, showers are expected to taper off, paving the way for sunny skies throughout the weekend. Highs temperatures will be close to 90 on Saturday, with a slightly cooler day ahead on Sunday.

Partly sunny, with a high near 83. South wind 7 to 14 mph.

Thursday Night
A chance of showers, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 11 p.m. Patchy fog after 11 p.m. Low around 70. South wind 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Friday
Showers and thunderstorms likely before 3 p.m., then a chance of showers. Patchy fog before 10 a.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 84. Southwest wind 6 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Friday Night
A slight chance of showers before 8 p.m., then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 69. West wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Saturday
Sunny, with a high near 89. Northwest wind 6 to 9 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon.
