What To Expect In Phase 2 Of Rhode Island's Reopening Plan
The state will raise gathering limits to 15 and open many more businesses in the second phase of reopening.
Phase two of reopening in Rhode Island will officially begin Monday, Gov. Gina Raimondo announced Friday. This new phase will mark a big change in the state, with gathering limits raised to 15 people, the return of indoor dining at restaurants, hair salons reopening and more.
The governor cautioned residents that this will not be a full return to normal, and that it's now more important than ever to follow mask-wearing and social distancing rules.
"It's going to be different. Take the weekend to realize internalize that," she said. "I am asking you to go along with the rules for another month so we can get to phase three."
