Which RI Schools Still Have February Vacation?

February vacation has come under scrutiny in past years. Do you think kids should have a full week off?

February vacation is almost here, but not all Rhode Island students will be enjoying a full week of freedom.

According to data from the Rhode Island Department of Education, the majority of public schools still have a week-long February vacation. Several schools have transitioned to four-day weekends instead, either from Friday through Monday, or Monday and Tuesday. Still others simply celebrate President's Day and return to school on Tuesday.
